Why Visit Graz?

Charm, elegance, vitality: Graz is all this, and much more. The second largest city in Austria, with its 300,000 inhabitants, contains a truly exceptional wealth of architectural styles, monuments and museums.

A visit to the historic centre allows you to enjoy the numerous buildings belonging to different historical eras that have contributed to making this area of the city a UNESCO World Heritage Site: walking among the many testimonies to the Gothic era, Renaissance courtyards and beautiful Baroque buildings, you will be transported to a journey through time and architectural styles. An unmissable experience is a visit to the Clock Tower, a curious building located on the Schlossberg, the hill from which you can enjoy a beautiful view over the rooftops of the city.

There is also a wide range of cultural events and activities to be experienced throughout the year. The Steirischer Herbst takes place in September and October, one of the first contemporary art festivals in Europe. In the summer, numerous musical events are held such as the Jazz Festival or the Styriarte, a festival dedicated to lovers of classical music.

Gastronomy lovers will also be thrilled to know that one of the reasons to visit Graz is the food on offer, consisting of delicious local dishes such as Butcheln, traditional sweet scones that can be tasted in the many historic restaurants of the city.

Graz can be easily reached from the airport of the same name, thanks to the two bus lines 630 and 631 which take just 20 minutes and leave every 90 minutes. The train connections are even faster: the railway line is located about 300 meters from the Graz airport and every 60 minutes offers a connection to the Hauptbahnhof station, which is located near the centre. It is also possible to reach other Austrian cities by train, cities such as Vienna, Salzburg, Linz and Innsbruck.

Trust Air Dolomiti and get ready to land in Graz, a city where history, modernity and tradition will give you an experience you will never forget.
