Please be informed that, effective 04 May 2026, the transport container as checked baggage (AVIH) for your animal must comply with the following additional requirements in order to meet the current IATA Live Animal Regulations:

• Ventilation openings must not exceed 25 mm x 25 mm for dogs and 19 mm x 19 mm for cats.
• Depending on the size of the animal, the ventilation openings must be small enough or covered with a mesh to prevent the animal from escaping or protruding body parts, reducing the risk of injury.

IMPORTANT: Please note that non-compliant kennels will be refused at check-in, which will result in the non-acceptance of your pet for transport.

We therefore kindly ask you to verify your current transport container and strongly recommend obtaining a compliant container prior to your arrival at the airport, as only at selected airports, shops offer animal transport containers.

Assignment of seats for minors (2 - 12 years) and persons with disabilities next to their parents and/or carers.

In accordance with the current ENAC regulation,  for flights from/to Italy, the seat assignment of minors (2 - 12 years old) and of passengers with disabilities (PWD) next to their parents and/or accompanying persons, is not subject to any additional charge with respect to the cost of the airline ticket.

We have adapted our baggage regulations for you so that every piece of hand luggage that complies with the rules (dims max 55x40x23cm and max 8kg) can now be checked in free of charge – even if you have booked a Light fare. We kindly recommend all passengers to deliver their handbag at the check-in counter, even if it is not mandatory anymore.

Please bear in mind already when packing that you need to heed the information regarding dangerous goods in checked-in baggage.
