The Tuscan countryside and the alluring beach resorts demonstrate that Pisa has more to offer than just a leaning tower. But the history of the most famous tower in the world of course is too good to be omitted. 
Pisa makes it very easy to visit all its major sights, as they can all be found on the Cathedral Square, also called Campo dei Miracoli: the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Cathedral of Pisa (Santa Maria Assunta), the Baptistery and the Camposanto Monumentale cemetery. However, it is worth making the effort to leave Piazza del Duomo, which is a little out of the centre, and plunge into the lively old town of Pisa.
