Genoa Airport

Located just 7 km west of the city centre, Genoa Airport (GOA) is the largest and most important airport in Liguria, a strategic location capable of accommodating about one and a half million passengers every year.

Cristoforo Colombo airport, this is the official name of the Genoese terminal, is well connected to the urban area and can be reached by bus or taxi. For those who choose to use public transport, the journey takes approximately 30 minutes: the service is called Volabus, is managed by a local company and stops at the Brignole and Piazza Principe railway stations. Tickets can be purchased online at a discount: €5 instead of €6 one-way, or €10 instead of €12 for a return ticket. Children up to 10 years of age can travel for free.

For those who prefer to travel by taxi, there are fixed rates valid for groups of at least three passengers. The cost of the shared taxi is 8 euros per person from Genoa Airport to Brignole station, while it is 7 euros if the destination is Genoa Principe. If you are not travelling in a group or want to reach a different destination, the price could be different from the fixed rate and it is therefore useful to inquire before starting the journey. The taxi rank and bus stop are located in the area in front of the arrivals hall.
