Olbia Airport

Top view of Tavolara Island, Olbia, Sardinia

An important connection point between northern Sardinia and the rest of the world, Olbia Airport (OLB) is an efficient and functional airport through which approximately three million passengers pass every year, especially during the summer. It is about 4 km from the city centre and this distance can easily be covered by public transport, taxis and private cars in between 10 and 20 minutes depending on traffic.

For those who choose to travel by taxi, the service is located in the area in front of the arrivals terminal. The minimum price for the ride to the city centre is 15 euros, to which the supplement for luggage must be added: to get a clearer idea of the cost, it is advisable to ask for information before leaving.

A valid alternative is offered by buses from Costa Smeralda airport; this is the full name of the airport, to the city. The service, managed by the public transport company, is entrusted to lines no. 2 and no. 10. The stops are just 50 metres from the terminal exit. The buses leave approximately every 30 minutes and make several stops in the streets of Olbia, providing the service both on weekdays and on holidays.

Those who want to rent a car and spend their stay not only discovering Olbia but also the beauties of Sardinia will find the area dedicated to car rentals at the exit of the terminal, with numerous local, national and international companies and a vast offer of cars. During the summer it is advisable to book online to avoid long waits.

Those departing from Olbia airport and wishing to leave their car near the terminal, on the other hand, can take advantage of the parking area, equipped with over 1,100 spaces divided into three sectors, two dedicated to long-term parking, one for short-term parking.
