What to eat in Pisa
Food and Bella Toscana simply belong together. Perhaps it is the good but simple ingredients, the tasty Tuscan olive oil, and the focus on the essentials that have made Tuscan cuisine so famous. The region is also home to Italy’s best wines. Apart from the Chianti Classico cultivated only in the demarcated area between Siena and Florence and other coveted red wines, there are some wonderful, rarer white wine varieties and, of course, the Tuscan dessert wine Vin Santo.
Yet on the Tuscan gourmet scene, Pisa also has much to offer.
