The maximum weight for hand baggage is 8kg and dimensions for carry-on baggage: max 55x40x20cm.
For Economy Class fares only one item is included; the hand baggage in Business class fares includes one piece of carry-on baggage up to 8 kg, only for flights from/to Italy.
If the free hand baggage allowance is exceeded in terms of number, dimensions and/or weight, the fee for excess baggage will be charged.
Personal documents, medicines, valuables, mobile phones and laptops should be carried in cabin bags.
Portable electronic devices containing lithium metal or lithium ion cells or batteries, including medical devices such as portable oxygen concentrators (POC) and consumer electronics such as cameras, mobile phones, laptops and tablets are permitted for personal use. Each person is limited to a maximum of 15 portable electronic devices.
For any doubts about the transport of items or devices containing lithium metal or lithium ion cells or batteries, please contact our Sales Center in order to make sure of the authorization to transport these items.
For safety reasons, certain items may not be taken in the cabin and are prohibited in carry-on baggage: weapons, potential weapons, imitation/replica weapons, pointed, sharp or blunt items (e.g. scissors, pocket knives, baseball bats) and all explosive and flammable substances. Only allowed in carry-on baggage:
-Lithium-ion spare batteries
Note: powerbanks and similar devices used as an energy source are considered to be spare batteries and may therefore not be carried in checked baggage.
Batteries, spare/loose, including lithium metal or lithium ion cells or batteries, for portable electronic devices must be carried in carry-on baggage only.
Articles which have the primary purpose as a power source, e.g. power banks are considered as spare batteries. Each person is limited to a maximum of 20 spare batteries.
When there is insufficient space to stow all hand baggage safely on board you may be asked to check in some or all of your hand baggage at the boarding gate.
Liquids in your hand baggage
However, you may always bring:
Baby food to be consumed during the flight
Medicines to be taken during the flight, provided you have a prescription or attending physician's statement
Special diet foods to be consumed during the flight
Delivery at Aircraft
These items will be collected at the side of the aircraft to be placed in the hold – if there is not enough room in the cabin – and will be given back to the passenger during disembarkation, directly at the side of the aircraft or at the loading bridge (finger).
Passengers may choose to opt for the “Delivery at Aircraft” (DAA) procedure or to register the items as hold luggage.
If the DAA procedure is requested on connecting flights, please inform staff at check-in or boarding if you wish to retrieve the item at the transit airport.
