If you have a passion for horses, Verona is the place to be this November as the northern Italian city plays host to Fieracavalli 2016.
This year, the equestrian festival will take place from the 10th-13th November and the event will once again coincide with Jumping Verona, the Italian leg of the FEI International Show Jumping World Cup.

Horse lovers can expect a feast of entertainment at the event, which has been taking place for over 100 years. In that time, the fair has developed from an event targeted purely at breeders and buyers to a sensational spectacle for everyone to enjoy. It encompasses every aspect of the world of horse riding, from therapeutic riding to competitive show jumping.
For breeders, professional riders and stable owners, the exhibition features 100,152 square metres of commercial space where 750 businesses and 35 national breeding associations will showcase their wares and expertise.
General visitors can marvel at some of the most skilled equestrians in the world in the Westernshow. This event is sure to be fun for all who attend as it features exciting cowboy events like barrel racing and team penning.
Added to all of this are over 200 horse competitions where more than 3,000 horses will be on show from 60 different breeds, including the prestigious Iberian and Arabic varieties.
Younger visitors can head to the Children's Village, where kids can get up close to a variety of horses and discover the basics of riding and caring for these majestic animals. There's no better way to introduce your children to equestrianism.
Finally, there is Jumping Verona. The star attraction, the headline event of Fieracavalli 2016. Jumping Verona attracts elite show jumping talent to Verona to compete. Fieracavalli is one of Verona's greatest annual events, but the city has many more delights to offer as well.
