Milan for young tourists
Evenings in Milan offer plenty of attractions for all tastes: art, culture, concerts, theatre performances, discotheques, pubs and night spots.
Anyone staying in the city for a few days or even longer will be embarrassed for choice. And young tourists no longer have to worry about getting back within a given time: Milan City Council provides a Bus by Night service 2.00-5.00 a.m. every Friday and Saturday to take them home from any night-spot in the city at a cost of €1.
Night-life is very varied in the capital of fashion: the liveliest areas are the historic centre, the Brera, Navigli and Ticinese quarters, while the very central Corso Buenos Aires also has a great many places with live music, especially Jazz. Things get going at 18.00 with an aperitif in one of the many bars and cafes in the city.
Most of these places offer such superb buffets that the evening is chatted away until 23.00, when people begin to move towards the discotheques.
There is also an amazing choice for people who prefer an evening at the theatre or a modern dance performance. Milan has such a lot to offer but special mention must be made of the season at La Scala where spectators can enjoy opera, ballet, concerts or recitals.
