Top Italian wine brands have banded together to create the Italian Signature Wines Academy, dedicated to foreign sales and promoting the image of quality wines and the heritage landscape that produces them
Some of Italy’s top wine producers have joined forces to create Iswa, the Italian Signature Wines Academy. A strategic alliance among some top Italian wine brands, widely acknowledged for the excellence of their products and already present with a significant share of foreign markets. Allegrini and Villa Sandi (Veneto), Arnaldo Caprai (Umbria), Feudi di San Gregorio (Campania), Fontanafredda (Piedmont), Frescobaldi (Tuscany), Masciarelli (Abruzzo) and Planeta (Sicily) have decided to join forces to sell their wines abroad, in particular on markets where the made in Italy label has yet to emerge. The eight protagonists share a number of characteristics: they are all family companies with a long history of winemaking and at least 50 years of experience, with a shared business vision, a shared belief in innovation and in the importance of investing in their brand at an international level, coupled with a similar profile and importance in their individual regions. This ensures that they feel the responsibility of being in some way ambassadors of their regions, among the most significant in the panorama of Italian winemaking and boasting the country’s principal labels of excellence. Iswa companies also share a sense of hospitality linked to their wine and vineyards, recognising how important it is to promote the history, art, traditional food and countryside of a unique landscape.
Last but not least, the Italian Signature Wines Academy is also a living testimony to an important aspect of Italian history, families that have made a difference, men and women who uphold the traditions of their country. A story of pride, passion, hard work and hope.
The wines served on our flights in June and July are supplied by some of the top Italian wine brands, all members of Iswa, the Italian Signature Wines Academy.
