Wine tasting tour in Valpolicella and Soave discovering Amarone and the other major Italian wines

Wondering what to do near Verona? Why not take a wine tasting tour? Air Dolomiti has partnered with Musement to bring you one of the most prestigious wine tasting tours of the region. You'll discover some of Italy's world-famous wines such as Soave and Valpolicella and perhaps you'll even find a few new favourites.

Your driver will pick you up at 9:45 on the day of your wine tasting tour and you'll get to know more about the province en route to Valpolicella. A unique zone of viticulture, Valpolicella - land of the Amarone, lies just east of Lake Garda. The region's dry red straw wine is one of the oldest and best known, although it's not the only fine wine produced in Valpolicella!

You'll make your first stop of the day at 10:30 am when you arrive at the Azienda Agricola Monte dall'Ora, one of the Valpolicella region's renowned wineries. Alessandra and Carlo Venturini fell in love with it at first sight and their company carries on the great tradition of wine making in this truly special location in the heart of historical Valpolicella. Alessandra and Carlo will accompany you on your visit to the vineyard and winery where you'll be able to sample some of their best wines like Valpolicella Classico, Valpolicella Classico Superiore, Valpolicella Ripasso and Amarone della Valpolicella. Your visit to the Azienda Agricola Monte dall'Ora will end at 12:45 pm when it's time to head to a cosy local restaurant for a lunch of authentic Italian dishes like risotto with Amarone accompanied by some of the region's finest wines.

Your wine tasting tour continues after lunch with a visit to the Soave region. You'll reach your second destination at 3:30 pm, ready to enjoy a guided tour and tasting at one of the region's most esteemed wineries, the Azienda Agricole Coffele. The business was born from the romantic meeting of Giovanna Visco and Giuseppe Coffele and the winery is now one of the benchmarks for Soave wines. Managed with their children - Alberto and Chiara - the Azienda Agricola Coffele today boasts over 25 hectares (75 Verona fields) of vineyards as a single estate in Castelcerino di Soave. The distinctive Coffele wines are produced and refined behind the ancient portal to a city centre winery that dates from 1600. Perhaps the blend of ancient tradition and youthful vivacity is the key to the ideal Soave wine.
