Ancona-Falconara Airport
The Ancona Falconara Airport, also named Raffaello Sanzio airport of the Marches, is located in Falconara Marittima in the province of Ancona. The only international airport in the Marches region, it is 18 km from the city centre of Ancona and can be reached on Conero Bus shuttle buses, which run from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm. There is also another shuttle service to Ascoli Piceno, with stops in San Benedetto del Tronto, Grottamare, Pedaso, Porto San Giorgio and Civitanova Marche. For those arriving by car, the airport can be reached on trunk road SS 76 and taking exit 21, or on the Autostrada Adriatica motorway and taking exit Ancona Nord. There are 640 parking spaces at the airport, 290 of which are intended for short stays. The Ancona Airport also has a direct train service to the Ancona central train station (about 15 min.).
